KBR to provide services for Angolan refinery
HOUSTON — KBR said Wednesday it has been hired to provide engineering services for a proposed refinery in Lobito, Angola.
KBR, an international construction and engineering firm, didn’t say how much it would earn from the contract with Angola’s state-owned oil and gas company, Sonangol, E.P. KBR’s engineering work will help the refinery gauge how much gasoline and diesel fuel it produces.
The company said the refinery is expected to produce 200,000 barrels per day, and help the country cut back on its dependence on imported petroleum.
