Japan’s former finance minister found dead

TOKYO - Japanese former finance minister Shoichi Nakagawa has been found dead in his Tokyo home, the Kyodo news agency reported Sunday.

Police said the body of the 56-year-old was found face down on his bed and did not appear to have any external injuries.

The member of the Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) stepped down in February after he appeared to be drunk at a Group of 7 (G7) press conference.
