Iraqi police say bomb kills 7 in southwest Baghdad
BAGHDAD — Iraqi police say a bomb has killed seven people and wounded 31 others at a bus station in a Shiite neighborhood in southwest Baghdad, the latest in a series of attacks ahead of a U.S. military withdrawal from cities next week.
In separate incidents around the capital, police say three bombs and a mortar killed two people.
The attacks Thursday are the latest in a series of deadly bombings in the past week, mostly targeting Shiites.
Meanwhile, the U.S. military says nine coalition soldiers have been injured in two roadside bomb attacks against a convoy in eastern Baghdad.
