TEHRAN - An Iranian passenger plane crashed near the country’s northwestern city of Gazvin and all 150 people on board were feared killed, IRNA news agency said Wednesday.

Iran’s Press TV quoted Gazvin police chief as saying that 150 people on board the aircraft were “most probably” dead.

The Russia-made Tupolev passenger plane was travelling from Tehran to the Armenian capital of Yerevan at the time of the accident, the Press TV said.

The plane was completely destroyed and its wreckage was in flames, the report said.
