5 killed in Iran arson attack on bank

TEHRAN, Iran — Iran state media has reported that five people are dead in an arson attack in a restive southeastern city where 25 died in a mosque bombing last week.

The report on Web site of the state-owned English language Press TV said the arson attack was on Mehr Financial and Credit institute.

The state news agency added that the city was now calm and police had arrested suspects.

On Sunday clashes wounded some people after a rumor said a local Sunni cleric Molavi Abdolhamid Ismail Zehi, was attacked.

A bombing in a Shiite mosque killed 25 and injured 80 in Zahedan on Thursday.
