Intex Technologies eyes Rs.800 crore turnover

KOLKATA - IT hardware, mobile phones and electronics company Intex Technologies (India) is targeting Rs.800 crore turnover this fiscal, a top official said here Tuesday.

“We have made many new launches this fiscal. We have entered into the laptop segment and have unveiled huge range of mobile phones,” Ranjit Bhattacharjee, zonal sales manager (computer peripherals) of Intex, told reporters.

The company recorded Rs.466 crore turnover in 2008-09 and has a growth rate of 46 percent, Bhattacharjee said.

Across the country, the company has more than 2,000 dealers, which it plans to increase by 25 percent this fiscal.

Intex has manufacturing units in Jammu and Himachal Pradesh and it sources materials from Taiwan, he said.
