India’s second round polling begins

NEW DELHI - Polling stations opened Thursday in 140 constituencies spread across 12 states in the second round of elections to pick a new Lok Sabha.

Voters started queueing up in thousands of polling centrers. A total of 194 million people are eligible to vote.

The first phase of polling was conducted April 16.
