Indians bus involved in minor accident
KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A bus carrying Cleveland Indians players to a game against the Kansas City Royals has been involved in a minor accident. No players were injured.
The bus had nine players onboard, including Wednesday’s starter David Huff, when it was struck by a car not far from Kauffman Stadium. The players were loaded onto another bus and taken to the stadium, while the car driver was taken to a hospital for minor injuries.
It’s the second time the Indians were involved in a bus incident in Kansas City. In 2004, rookie pitcher Kyle Denney was struck in the calf when someone shot at the bus. He avoided serious injury thanks to go-go boots he was wearing as part of a hazing ritual.
