Indian PM’s secretary meets Sri Lankan president

COLOMBO - Principal secretary to the Indian prime minister T.K.A. Nair, on a four-day visit to the island nation, met Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapaksa here Thursday.

Nair arrived in Colombo on the invitation of Lalith Weeratunga, secretary to President Rajapaksa, to exchange views on ‘developments in the field of public administration in the two countries’, an official release said here.

Nair, later in the day, addressed senior Sri Lankan government officials on the topic Governance in India - Overview and Challenges.

Weeratunga said that Nair is a highly experienced official of the Indian Administrative Service and commands multifaceted exposure in managerial expertise.

‘Any ambitious professional expecting to thrive in this field will be immensely benefited by sharing Nair’s thoughts and strategies,’ Weeratunga said.
