ICT Group receives contact center contract

NEWTOWN, Pa. — ICT Group Inc., which manages outgoing and incoming calls from contact centers worldwide, said Tuesday that it received a contract from the general Service Administration to continue operating the government’s Federal Citizen Information Center’s national contact center.

ICT was one of nine pre-qualified contractors to compete for the job. The contract covers one base year with four one-year options. Its estimated value is $24 million over the next five years.

Under the terms of the contract, ICT will continue to respond to phone, email and Web chat inquiries, take orders for consumer publications and respond to public inquiries on behalf of certain federal agencies.

ICT has provided services to the government since 2004. The new contract takes effect Sept. 1.

Shares of ICT Group gained 9 cents to $10.60 in morning trading.
