manmohansinghON BOARD AIR INDIA ONE - The ‘open’ talk by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari on the need for Pakistan to curb terrorism against India in front of the media in Russia last month continues to reverberate between both sides. But Manmohan Singh Saturday clarified that he “had no intention to hurt the feelings of President Zardari”.

“I had not intended to say that (terrorism remark) in the presence of the media. I forgot that the media was still there,” the prime minister said.

The comment, caught by the media, was made by the prime minister to Zardari in the Russian town of Yekaterinburg, at the first high-level meeting between both countries after the November 2008 terror attacks in Mumbai.
