Hurricane Bill 2009: whereabouts

Hurricane Bill 2009 is a tropical storm which is rapidly gaining strength and may reach the status of Hurricane within a shorter period. Hurricane Bill was the first one of the season, it formed over the Atlantic Ocean.
According to the weather forecasters Bill will reach the hurricane status while passing through Gulf, at present Bill is following tropical storm Claudette and Ana.
Tropical storm Claudette weakened over Florida and became the first tropical storm of this year hurricane season that reached the land of US on Sunday midnight. Ana though nearing the Caribbean island but it is also getting weaker.
Bill’s route is uncertain it is far away from the land , 1,160 miles (1,870 kilometers) east of the Caribbean’s Lesser Antilles, and moving west-northwest at 22 mph. Forecasters assuming a west-northwest movement will continue through Monday for the potential hurricane and Bill might be heading towards Bermuda.

It’ll be interesting to watch this storm progress and see if it becomes a major threat.
