Lowe’s signs supply deal with Johns Manville
MOORESVILLE, N.C. — Home improvement chain Lowe’s Cos. and building products company Johns Manville, a Berkshire Hathaway company, have signed an exclusive supply deal for insulation products.
Privately held Johns Manville, based in Denver, makes fiber glass building insulation and other products. Lowe’s already sells Johns Manville insulation in nearly 600 stores but now plans to expand its offerings and make them available in all of its 1,700 stores.
Berkshire Hathaway is the investment management company run by Warren Buffett.
Lowe’s shares rose 8 cents to $20.44 in aftermarket trading after closing Thursday at $20.36, up 2.8 percent from its previous close.
