BANGALORE - TNT Post, the postal department of the Netherlands, has released four postage stamps to honour Art of Living founder Sri Sri Ravi Shankar’s contribution to humanity.
Two of the stamps carry photographs of Ravi Shankar. The third stamp has a photograph of Vishalakshi Mantap, the main meditation hall at the Art of Living’s International Centre in Bangalore.
The fourth stamp has pictures of children from the rural school run by the Art of Living foundation at the outskirts of Bangalore.
Sri Sri is now in Europe visiting Bulgaria, Germany, Switzerland and the Netherlands.

This is extremely bogus and fradulent. These stamps are created by AOL and only announced to the Indian Media. No Dutch government official is involved in this. Nowhere does TNT post mention that the stamps were created for Ravishankar: Also you can order customized Stamps from TNT featuring any photograph you choose. They will create some 100 stamps and give it to you. Anyone with money can do that. No wonder AOL has taken this route to get their cheap publicity. You can create such customized stamps in United States as well. Time for aol folks to start working on this. Some spare change from your purses will do. The fact is the whole Indian media has been taken for a ride. What a Joke. How to get a postal stamp with your photo on it In Netherlands, anybody can put his or her face (or even the photograph of his home, or cat, or dog) on a stamp. This is a strategy to make this business more exciting; what one has to do is to upload (at tntpost.nl) one’s photograph, and pay little extra. The postage stamps with your design are usually sent in just two-three days, the only binding is – the shipping address must be located in the Netherlands. |
