Himachal to get Rs.135 crore for rural infrastructure

SHIMLA - The National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (Nabard) has sanctioned Rs.135 crore to the Himachal Pradesh government for developing rural infrastructure, an official statement said Monday.

“Nabard has sanctioned Rs.135 crore to Himachal Pradesh for the year 2009-10. The amount would be spent for construction of rural roads, bridges, irrigation and drinking water projects,” said a Nabard statement.

Under these projects, 133 km of all-weather roads will be constructed to connect 412 villages, it added.
