CHANDIGARH - Students appearing for the class 10 mathematics examination in Haryana were taken aback Tuesday when they were given a semester I question paper instead of the semester II paper they were expecting.

Students at various centres of the Haryana School Education Board were given the wrong question paper, a board official said. Nearly 300,000 students took the exam.

The board will now hold the maths paper exam again next month. Board’s spokesperson Meenakshi Sharda said the re-examination of the subject will be held on Mar 5.

First semester exams were conducted by the board in September-October last year.
