Government schools in NCR to stay shut due to cold

NOIDA - Government primary and junior high schools in the National Capital Region (NCR) of Noida and Ghaziabad will remain closed till Jan 7 because of dense fog and intense cold, according to official orders Sunday.

In Noida, some private schools have decided to remain closed till Jan 11. The Noida administration has asked private schools to ensure safety of their students in foggy conditions, especially in the morning hours.

The Ghaziabad district administration has also ordered all primary schools to remain closed till Jan 7.
