ISLAMABAD - Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani has sent a bouquet to his Indian counterpart Manmohan Singh wishing him speedy recovery.

Manmohan Singh, who underwent a coronary angiography as part of a series of heart-related tests, was Thursday discharged from New Delhi’s All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS).

Manmohan Singh was admitted to India’s premier state-run medical facility Wednesday after he complained of chest pain. Following this, a decision was taken to conduct heart-related tests.

Earlier Tuesday, the 76-year-old prime minister visited AIIMS for an overall medical check-up and returned home.

In October 2005, Manmohan Singh underwent a minor surgical procedure to ease the pressure on a nerve in his right wrist.

In September 2007, he had undergone a surgery for benign enlargement of the prostate gland.
