Genworth Financial adds 2 directors to board, expanding it to 11 members

Genworth expands board to 11 members

RICHMOND, Va. — Insurer Genworth Financial Inc. said Wednesday that it expanded its board to 11 members by naming Christine B. Mead and Thomas E. Moloney as independent directors.

Mead, who retired in December 2005, previously served as executive vice president and chief financial officer of Safeco Corp. and the co-president of the Safeco insurance companies.

Moloney, who retired in December 2004, was senior executive vice president and chief financial officer of John Hancock Financial Services Inc.
