KABUL - Four people were killed and three wounded in an explosion in western Afghanistan early Monday, police said.

‘This morning a vehicle hit a mine in Adraskan district. As a result, four persons, all of them civilians, were killed and three others got injured,’ Noor Khan Nikzad, police spokesman in the province said.

Nikzad added that he was not sure if the explosive device was left over from the past wars or planted recently.
