AMRITSAR - At least four people were killed and several others injured Thursday afternoon when a private mini-bus fell into a drain near Punjab’s Attari town.

District and police officials rushed to the spot to carry out rescue operations. Cranes were pressed into service to pull out the bus from the drain in the town, 25 km from here.

The bus was on its way from Mawa village near Attari to Amritsar.

Survivors told the police that the bus driver and conductor were arguing over some issue and the driver lost control over the speeding vehicle.
