Kentucky governor’s mansion to open for tours
FRANKFORT, Ky. —The “Old Governor’s Mansion,” which has been undergoing a needed revitalization, is scheduled to open for public tours next month.
The mansion, completed in 1798 and on the National Register of Historic Places, has hosted numerous dignitaries over the years, including former presidents Andrew Jackson and Theodore Roosevelt.
The governor’s office says the High Street mansion will be open for tours from Sept. 19 through Oct. 3.
