Ford, Deere, Cisco Systems are big movers
NEW YORK — Stocks that moved substantially or traded heavily Monday on the New York Stock Exchange and Nasdaq Stock Market:

Ford Motor Co., up 38 cents at $6.13
Analysts say the automaker stands to benefit from the bankruptcy protection filings of its Detroit rivals, General Motors and Chrysler.
Deere & Co., up $3.49 at $46.96
The farm equipment maker named 34-year company veteran Samuel Allen, 55, as its ninth-ever CEO, starting on the job Aug. 1.
Las Vegas Sands Corp., up 86 cents at $10.77
An analyst said the casino operator is confident that a Singapore property will open on time, and is trying to sell non-core assets.
Exxon Mobil Corp., up $2.41 at $71.76
Oil prices surged to their highest level since October, while prices at the gas pump rose to a more than seven-month peak above $2.50.
Alcoa Inc., up 61 cents at $9.83
The aluminum producer gained along with many industrial blue-chips as data on the manufacturing sector signaled a global recovery.
News Corp., up 68 cents at $11.91
The CEO of DirecTV is in negotiations to rejoin the media company as No. 2 to Rupert Murdoch, filling a looming leadership hole.

Cisco Systems Inc., up $1 at $19.50
The computer networking hardware maker will replace General Motors Corp. in the 30-company Dow Jones industrial average on June 8.
ARCA Biopharma Inc., down $4.16 at $5.13
The FDA asked the biopharmaceutical company to do more trials on its heart-failure-prevention drug candidate before it approves the treatment.
