NEW DELHI - At least five people have died in the past three days in west Delhi after consuming spurious country liquor, police said Sunday.

The victims were residents of Raghuveer Nagar in West Delhi. Five more have been admitted to hospital after drinking country liquor, police said.

‘We are investigating the matter,’ a police officer said on condition of anonymity.

Last month, over a dozen people were killed after consuming spurious liquor in southwest Delhi, reportedly from the same source, police added.
