ECB leaves rates unchanged
FRANKFURT — The European Central Bank left its key interest rate unchanged at 1 percent on Thursday.
Analysts had widely expected the bank to hold rates steady at its meeting in Venice.
Markets will be watching a press conference by bank President Jean-Claude Trichet later Thursday to hear the bank’s outlook on the economy and its efforts to promote increased bank lending and financial stability.
