DOARS - A herd of around 25 wild elephants has entered a tea garden in the Doars region of West Bengal.

The herd of the jumbos has plundered the whole garden, workers reported.

forest officials were called in to drive the animals back to the forest, but in vain.

“Officials should do something, but are sitting silent,” claimed Sibu Oroan, a local.

Massive deforestation, poaching and people encroaching upon forest corridors have forced elephants to move out of their natural habitat in search of food and water. (ANI)
