Eight killed in lorry-trekker collision in West Bengal

KOLKATA - Eight people were killed and 12 others injured in a collision between a trekker vehicle and a lorry in West Bengal’s Murshidabad district Monday.

Police said the mishap occurred when the trekker driver lost control while trying to overtake the lorry in Baharampur.

Three of the passengers died on the spot, and the others perished on way to the hospital.

The injured have been admitted to the New General Hospital in Baharampur.
