Drunk girl rams car into dumper

NEW DELHI - Two girls, allegedly drunk, were injured late Wednesday when their car rammed into a dumper in Lodhi Colony area of south Delhi, police said Thursday.

The accident occurred about an hour past midnight on Wednesday near the Jawaharlal Nehru stadium, when the girls rammed their car into a dumper standing near roadside, according to police.

A passer-by informed police, after which the girls were taken to AIIMS Trauma centre from where their families took them to a private hospital.

“The medical report confirmed that the girl who was driving the car was drunk. Her statement has not been taken as yet as they are unfit to make a statement as per the doctors. After we find out who was driving the car, we will lodge a complaint,” said a police officer.

Police suspect that they were driving the car at high speed.
