What has he done to deserve it? He would have to do something significant to earn the prize and to be honest he hasn’t.

the man like obama and bush who are just the puppets whose strings are in the bloody hands of jewish lobby, i absloutly out of sense when i heard that he nominated for noble prize, very unnoble person for noble prize.

I Dont think he deserve any nobel prize. What did he actually do? It does not mean that being the first black president of the USA he has done a lot. Maybe after some few years that can be considered. Mandela was the first black president of the Republic of South Africa, he deserved that because he sacrificed his entire life for the freedom of his fellow black South Africans. Barack obama never sacrificed anything nor suffered.

It is a Norwegian thing; it is not about Obama, it is an ego thing for certain Norwegian (who are both insecure and have a big ego) — it has to do with the “jentelagen.” (the law of jente)

if obama is eligible for nobel prize then there is no sense of the work done by mahatma gandhi!! mahatma gandhi should get the nobel of peace not these bad tempered destroyers of unity who considers themselves as the greatest power of the world!!!!!!!!!!

i think it’s wrong choice. in a few months he cannot get nobel award for peace. it’s too early decision by nobel comittee.
mahatma gandhi waited for this award from long time but he didn’t success

No I don’t think Obama is or ever will be a good choice for the Nobel Peace Prize. If he were a peace maker he would leave health care alone as we know it now.He would quit trying to be another Hitler and trying to control everything and every body.We as the people of this great Nation do not want to live under communisum, having someone tell us what we can do and when to do it.WE ALL KNOW WHAT HAPPENED TO HITLER. As far as Pelosi goes, I think you can call her Ms. Hitler!

i reallly dont get it!!!what has he achieved which looks like peace making anywhere…bombarding regions n signing bills!!!simply sending terror waves all over the place..:(obama has done nothing to achieve this..n its a sad thing to watch a selected group celebirating over the dead innocent bodies.reminds me of hitler at tyms:(

Obama has done more to destroy peace than he will ever do to encourage peace. The enemies of free thinking people, the dictators and tyrants, admire Obama by the way he is systematically destroying our ability to resist tyranny. His creation of an enemies list is Nixonian at best but reminds me more of Stalin which is closer to his ideology. Obama and the people he has surrounded himself with are truly a threat to world peace because they embrace revolution as the cure to politcal discourse.

As long as their were a white President everything was fine, when America gets it’s first black President he can’t do or say anything right. I hope everybody remember the President who got this war started, and lied he told get it started. Think about all the soliders that have been lost because of President Bush. Anything President Obama gets he deserve it and more, coming behind the President Bush after 8 yrs, and trying to clean up Bush mess.

Mahatma Gandhi was nominated 5 times for Nobel Prize for peace , but didnt get it, Even his birthdate is known as ‘International Nonviolance day(2nd oct.)’.
Here Barack Obama got this Prize easily. What type of social work he had done his past. I am aware his name from last one & half year.
I think anything is possible if Luck and power is with you.

The NOBEL peace prize is NOT Coveted or important at all! It is a group of self appointed individuals who have money to give out of a foundation set up with money earned from the sale and development of weapons, of course causing a lot of deaths in the world. Nobel was the originator of that company and felt guilty so…… Start a foundation and issue awards for various things.

There is nothing to say that you or your neighbor deserves recognition for what you or they are doing to help the world andy more than weirdo’s on the Nobel Committee making their stupid biased choices.

We need to stop being Sheep and believing anything in print, or in the news or on the internet. What is important is YOU and what YOU THINK!

What he has done for the peace in the world, generally and in parts of Africa, Afghanistan, Iraq, Wazirustan of Pakistan, Kashimir. Nothing, eccept accelarating bombing on innocent people. Is any single step for peace taken in his tenure and NOBEL PEACE PRIZE! I think the Nobel Peace Prize committee losing its credibilty very rapidly by such immature decisions. Ive not done any thing for peace but I ve nt contributed in any war, so I beilve I own that prize too.:)

mr obama did not started the wars of iraq and afghanistan i personally think that there is a need of cleaning the extremits from afghanistan taliban and alqaida fighters from the region at pak afghan border mr obama is trying to resolve the issues like palestine and iranian nuclear crisis one thing i would like to say that mr obama is not only doing the decition making the american think tank and some other charcters like imf world bank etc are also involved regaurding the decition making for the world

It is unbalanced judgement. In recent days the awards and degree even sold as vegetable in market (in cost of money or power or fame). It shows the commodification of awards. I believed till day the India only just like that, but after knew the news I find the trend worldwidly just like that.

It is surprising on the part of Nobel Prize Committee to name Obama for such a coveted award.I think it’s hard for the committee to believe that a US President can take peace initiatives seeing the likes of George Bush both Junior and Senior. And therefore they distribute it amongst them and also what we have seen of Obama is his tall claims and virtually no action. The aid declared for Pakistan on 14th Oct is a testimony to this that he should not be awarded this prize.
