Disguised gunman shoots Conn. student at bookstore
MIDDLETOWN, Conn. — Connecticut police are looking for a disguised gunman who fatally shot a Wesleyan University student while she worked at a popular bookstore near campus.
They say Timnath, Colo., native Johanna Justin-Jinich was shot several times Wednesday afternoon at a bookstore in downtown Middletown, in central Connecticut.
Police have released a photo of the suspect but won’t confirm newspaper and TV reports he’s the student’s ex-boyfriend.
Middletown police Lt. Margaret Liseo is urging residents and Wesleyan students to be vigilant and says the suspect should be considered armed and dangerous.
Justin-Jinich was on track to graduate next year.
