Delhi airport sounds alert as plane makes emergency landing

NEW DELHI - An alert was declared at the Delhi airport Sunday evening after a plane on a domestic flight requested an emergency landing apparently to contain a unruly passenger on board, official sources said.

Indigo flight E-664 from Goa to Delhi landed at 5.15 p.m. and was directed to an isolated bay even as quick reaction teams of the National Security guard (NSG) and Delhi Police were rushed to the airport.

The passengers were not immediately allowed to disembark from ther aircraft.
