Correction: Racist Gang Shootings story
LOS ANGELES — In a May 22 story about the role race plays in gang crime, The Associated Press erroneously reported that Robin Toma said he heard anti-immigrant sentiment from black residents in the Hawaiian Gardens area after a gang sweep. Toma, the executive director of the Los Angeles County Human Relations Commission, was referring to blog comments and did not know the race or location of the bloggers.
