Colo. homeowner nabs suspected burglar in boxers

GOLDEN, Colo. — A man suspected of breaking into a house that was for sale, showering there, doing laundry and putting his food in the refrigerator before the homeowner came home is being held on $50,000 bond. Police in Golden said the homeowner came home Nov. 9 to find someone else’s car in the garage.

Police said the homeowner, whose name wasn’t released, found the 24-year-man in the house, wearing only underwear. He held him at gunpoint until police arrived.

Police said they found materials used to make methamphetamine on a work bench in the garage.

The man was being held on suspicion of burglary, menacing, possession of burglary tools, possession of a controlled substance and resisting arrest.
