China Green Agriculture files to sell stock, debt
NEW YORK — Chinese fertilizer maker China Green Agriculture Inc. said Tuesday it filed a shelf registration statement with the Securities and Exchange Commission, which will allow the company to issue up to $50 million in securities.
The terms of any offering under the statement will be established at the time of the offering.
If declared effective by the SEC, the shelf registration statement will allow the company to raise funds from the offering through underwriters, agents, dealers or by sales to direct purchasers.
The company currently has about 18.6 million common shares outstanding.
Shares fell 40 cents, or 5.3 percent, to close at $7.10.
