NEW DELHI - A four-day international festival of performing arts for children will begin in the capital Wednesday. Kids from across the world, including Russia, Finland, Singapore, Latvia, Pakistan, Nepal and Italy, are expected to participate in the festival.

The festival will kickstart Wednesday with the kids marching in a parade from Jantar Mantar to the National Bal Bhavan in central Delhi, carrying the message of world peace.

The multi-nation march will see the children holding their nation’s flags high even as acrobats make the whole show spectacular.

As a means to encourage them to express themselves, the children will be asked to paint their messages on world peace and harmony on a bus which in turn will be driven around the city to spread awareness.

Around 250 productions from across the world will be staged during the course of the festival.
