VoltA electrifying future ahead, Chevy Volt, The electric Chevrolet Volt is expected to get at least 230 miles per gallon in city driving. That adds up to about $2.75 for electricity per 100 miles, claimed General Motors.

Unbeliveable ? As per a report of General Motors declared on Tuesday the the miles per gallon figures. But you have to hold your patience a little bit as the Volt is expected to start production in late 2010 as a 2011 model and well the price? taking bad with the good  it is expected that The Volt cross the  $40,000 mark.

What is inside the Volt?
* It can travel up to 40 miles on a single electricity charge;
* Its overall range will be 300 miles with its fuel engine;
* Volt is capable switching to extended range mode, in emergency the fuel will produce electricity.

So let’s keep our figure crossed and let the electrifying baby capture the road as early as possible.

If this is an article about the Chevy Volt, why wouldn’t you use an image of the Volt instead of a concept car?

That said, the Volt is a good looking car but $40K is a bit high. But when you consider a Cadillac (also GM) sells for $35K to over $100K, the price doesn’t look so bad.
