Chelsea fan assaulted by Juventus supporters

ROME - A group of Juventus supporters assaulted a visiting Chelsea fan ahead of the Champions League match the two sides played Tuesday in Turin, ANSA news agency reported.

The Englishman suffered minor bruises to his forehead and was treated in a hospital.

Groups of opposing fans reportedly tried to clash outside the Stadio Olimpico before the game but were kept separated by police.
