Charles & Colvard appoint new chief financial officer

Charles & Colvard appoints CFO

MORRISVILLE, N.C. — Jeweler Charles & Colvard said Thursday that its board has appointed Timothy Krist as its chief financial officer.

Krist worked most recently as CFO at Smart Online, a software company. He has also worked in various financial positions at KB Home, Blackboard Inc. and Deloitte and Touche.

North Carolina-based Charles & Colvard Ltd. is a maker of moissanite, a lab-created jewel.

Shares of the company rose less than 1 cent in trading Thursday to close at nearly 49 cents per share.
