Carter to play Enid Blyton

LONDON - ‘Harry Potter’ star Helena Bonham Carter will play children’s author Enid Blyton in a TV drama.
The film is made by BBC4 and is about Enid Blyton, who wrote such loved books as ‘The Famous Five’, ‘The Secret Seven’, ‘Malory Towers’ and ‘Noddy’, reports thesun.co.uk.
The 42-year-old Carter said: ‘It’s a long time since I have read such a well-written script with as complex and fascinating a character as Enid (Blyton).’
BBC4 chief Richard Klein said: ‘Enid Blyton is loved across the world, yet behind this positive image lies a darker story.’
