NEW DELHI - If anyone needed proof that former Punjab chief minister Amarinder Singh has no love lost for Akali Dal president and Punjab Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal, he or she should have watched the Congress leader on TV.

When a television channel recently got Amarinder Singh live to discuss Punjab politics, he went on to refer to Badal junior as ‘that obnoxious little brat’.

The ‘obnoxious brat’ reference surely brought some memories back. Another Punjabi, spinner Harbhajan Singh, was described as an ‘obnoxious weed’ by Australian opener Mathew Hayden during a radio interview. The reference had left a lot of bad blood between the Indian and Australian sides.
