BHUBANESWAR - A bus owners’ body in Orissa Wednesday called off their strike against hiked toll fees on national highways, an association official said.

“We have decided to call off our strike keeping in view of the inconvenience to the passengers all over the state, especially during festive season,” Debasis Nayak, the spokesperson of All Orissa Bus Owners’ Association, said.

However the association has decided to boycott National Highways 5 and 5A.

The strike, which began Oct 4, caused inconvenience to tens of thousands of passengers in the state.
