Brookstone names Toys “R” Us executive Ronald Boire as its new chief executive

Brookstone names Toys “R” Us exec as CEO

MERRIMACK, N.H. — Brookstone Inc. says it named Ronald D. Boire, a Toys “R” Us executive, as its new president and CEO.

Boire, who is 48, will also join Brookstone’s board, the company said Thursday. At Toys “R” Us, Boire was most recently president of its North American operations. Previously, he had also worked at Best Buy and Sony Electronics.

Brookstone’s mall-based retail stores sell consumer electronics, massage chairs, travel accessories, personal grooming tools and other items.

Philip Roizin, who is 50, will resume his role as chief financial officer.
