Brooke Astor’s son falls in NYC courthouse
NEW YORK — The son of late multimillionaire and socialite Brooke Astor fell and struck his head in the restroom of a Manhattan courthouse where he is on trial.
A court officer says Anthony Marshall fell during a break, around 11:30 a.m. Wednesday. An ambulance was called.
The judge dismissed the jury for the day at 12:45 p.m. He told them not to speculate on the reason.
Marshall and a co-defendant deny accusations of exploiting Astor’s dementia to loot her $198 million fortune.
