LONDON - A former butler to Britain’s Queen Elizabeth II was sentenced by a court in Manchester city Monday to at least six years in prison for child abuse.

Paul Kidd was found guilty of abusing underaged boys and possessing more than 18,000 images of child pornography.

Upon passing sentence, the judge called the 55-year-old Kidd dangerous and a risk to all young people that came across his path.

Kidd worked from 1977 to 1984 in Britain’s Buckingham Palace, including two years in service to Queen Elizabeth II.

He had committed a series of acts of child abuse while he was butler for the Queen Mother, to whom he once presented one of his victims as a friend during a Christmas party.
