NEW DELHI - Two bomb hoax calls delayed the New Delhi-Lucknow Shatabdi Express for more than an hour Wednesday.

The first call came to the New Delhi railway station at around 4 a.m. ‘However, the train was allowed to run at its scheduled time of 6.15 a.m. after nothing suspicious was found by the railway staff,’ a Northern Railway official said.

A second call came to the Uttar Pradesh police that informed the station at Ghaziabad where the train was stopped again, he added.

Personnel of the Railway Protection Force and the state police along with the bomb disposal squad and sniffer dogs inspected the train but nothing was found, and the train left for Lucknow at about 8 a.m.
