BJP’s Ananth Kumar retains Bangalore South

BANGALORE - Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) general secretary H.N. Ananth Kumar retained the Bangalore South seat for the fifth time in a row.

He defeated Congress’ Krishna Byre Gowda by a margin of 37,612 votes. Independent candidate and no-frills aviation pioneer G.R. Gopinath was also a candidate in the constituency.
