Biden to memorialize 2 killed fighting LA blaze

LOS ANGELES — Vice President Joe Biden is expected to be among thousands of mourners attending a memorial at Dodger Stadium for two veteran firefighters who died battling the largest wildfire in Los Angeles County history.

Firefighters, their friends, families and others are expected to converge on the 56,000-seat stadium in the hills above downtown Los Angeles for Saturday’s memorial for Capt. Tedmund Hall and firefighter specialist Arnaldo Quinones.

The two were killed Aug. 30 when their truck plunged off a mountain road in the Angeles National Forest as they searched for an escape route for a group of inmate-firefighters trapped by the flames.
