Beyonce lends voice to kid’s show

LONDON - Pop superstar Beyonce has lent her voice to a pre-school children’s show ‘WOW! WOW! WUBBZY!’.

The singer-actress will play Shine, the star of The Wubb Girlz band, on the animated comedy series and her cartoon character will debut on the Nickelodeon show April-end, contactmusic.com reported.

‘I’m so happy to be a part of the show because I’m finally able to impress my nephew. I can identify with Shine, having grown up in Destiny’s Child. The Wubb Girlz are all about unity (and) they sing cool harmonies,’ said Beyonce.

The Sing a Song tune The Wubb Girlz perform on the show will be available as a download on iTunes and other digital outlets from April 21.

The Grammy award winner’s week-long stint on the kids’ show will culminate with a Wubb Idol talent contest episode May 1.
