COIMBATORE - An independent candidate in Coimbatore asked the electorates for votes, carrying his symbol ‘basket’.

The independent candidate Noor Mohammed is contesting elections from two parliamentary seats consisting Coimbatore and Pollachi.

Mohammed and his supporters campaigned on the roads hanging baskets on their necks and shoulders.

While campaigning he was dressed like a tribesman. Interestingly, a number of kids were also a part of Mohammed’s election campaign.

“My chances of winning are very bright. People have shown me a good response and I am sure of winning. I am ready to render any type of service to the people,” said Mohammed.
