NJ casino halts table games to honor slain worker
ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. — An Atlantic City casino is shutting down its table games for part of the day to honor the memory of a slain worker.
Trump Taj Mahal Casino Resort will halt play between 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. during a viewing Tuesday for Raymond Kot. Stopping play will allow co-workers to attend the service.
Kot was shot in an office just off the casino floor on May 27. The 57-year-old shift manager died later after undergoing surgery.
He had been with the casino since the day it opened in 1990.
Authorities charged Norristown, Pa., resident Mark Magee with murder and weapons charges in the shooting. Officials said Magee was a Taj customer for years and had no previous complaints with Kot.
